How long does the construction process typically take?

The duration varies based on the project’s complexity and scale. Custom homes usually take between 12 to 16 months, while additions and renovations can range from 4 to 12 months. We provide a detailed timeline at the start of each project.

Can G Squared assist with design and permits?

Absolutely! We offer full-service solutions, including design assistance, architectural services, and handling all necessary permits. Our team ensures a hassle-free experience from conception to completion.

Design and permitting typically take between 6-12 months before construction can begin.

When should we reach out to a contractor?

The best time to reach out to a contractor is when you’re first thinking of completing a project. Once architects and designers are involved, you may have already designed a project that is out of your budget. Involving a builder early, especially one who does design-build preconstruction services, will streamline the entire process and avoid costly mistakes.

How many projects do you typically work on at one time?

We don’t take on projects lightly. We need to be confident it will be a good fit for everyone. We also want to maintain total control of each project from start to finish to ensure the quality and timing are up to high standards. We typically have 1-3 projects going on at once.

What is your approach to budget and timelines?

We value transparency and precision. At project commencement, we provide a detailed, fixed budget and guaranteed completion date, and we commit to regular updates to avoid any surprises. Our aim is to deliver exceptional results within the agreed-upon budget and timeframe.

We also self-perform 85% of the trades in house so that we have more control over costs and schedule. Our clients have access to our project management system that tracks budget and schedule in real time.

How do you handle changes or unexpected challenges during a project?

Flexibility is key in construction. If changes arise or unforeseen challenges occur, we communicate promptly, discuss options, and find solutions that align with your vision and budget.
